Model making
What it is
Production starts with the model. The model is the positive shape of the future part and the basis for the negative mould that follows, so every dimension and detail has to be highly precise. We make models from 3D data and technical documentation on a 5-axis CNC machining centre. If you have no 3D data, we can create it by digitising an existing part (reverse engineering).
CNC machines are high-performance machines that turn a raw block into a positive model or a negative mould. On our CNC equipment we mill design models and negative moulds, or machine finished products: trimming contours, drilling holes and the like. With innovative CAD and CAM systems and high-performance milling tools, we meet every technical requirement our customers set.
How we do it
- CAD/CAM processing of technical documentation
- 5-axis CNC machining centre for high-precision milling
- Materials: PUR block, synthetic timber or paste applied to a solid substructure
- Technical and design models alike
Benefits
Precision
Two CNC machines, milling up to 6 x 4 x 2 m.
Time saved
The model and the mould that follows are made by the same partner.
Also for other shops
We also build models for companies that laminate their parts themselves.
